Parent Works information and links

Parent Works is a free online program for Australian parents and caregivers of children aged 2 to 16. It provides evidence-based parenting strategies to improve parenting skills, confidence and child behaviour. You can visit the Parent Works website for more information.

Raising Children information and links

TheĀ Raising Children website offers up-to-date, research-based material on more than 800 topics spanning child development, behaviour, health, nutrition and fitness, play and learning, connecting and communicating, school and education, entertainment and technology, sleep and safety.

Mental Health Line information and number

The Mental Health Line is a single number, state-wide 24-hour mental health telephone access service.

Anyone with a mental health issue can use the Mental Health Line to speak with a mental health professional and be directed to the right care for them.

Parents/Carers can also use the Mental Health Line for advice about their child's clinical symptoms, the urgency of the need for care and local treatment options. You can call 1800 011 511 for more information.

Beyondblue information and links

Beyondblue provides information and support to help everyone in Australia achieve their best possible mental health, whatever their age and wherever they live. You can visit the Beyondblue website for more information.

Family Referral Service information and links

The Family Referral Service (FRS) work with all services to find out what best supports young people and families and their children, and what we can do to improve our community resources.

The FRS will listen to the needs of the family and refer to the right service/s, which could help you with:

  • domestic violence experiences
  • housing or accommodation access
  • financial assistance
  • counselling and mediation
  • parenting struggles
  • mental health concerns
  • finding culturally appropriate support.
