Students at Five Islands School are provided with the opportunity to practice their self-care and independent living skills through their participation in our cooking program. Students develop this skill by creating shopping lists, taking/delivering lunch orders, shopping for ingredients, preparing, cooking, and trying a variety of foods related to their current thematic unit. We have a strong cooking program that utilises our own kitchen ensuring students can participate in a valuable life skills program.
